THE 2019 TAX BILLS PAYABLE IN 2020 ARE MAILED BY THE END OF JANUARY. FIRST HALF PAYMENTS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 29, 2020; SECOND HALF PAYMENTS ARE DUE JUNE 15, 2020; OR IF PAYING IN FULL, PAYMENT IS DUE BY APRIL 30, 2020. PLEASE NOTE: THE OURAY COUNTY OFFICES REMAIN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, WE ARE ALL WORKING AND ARE ABLE TO ASSIST THE PUBLIC WITH THEIR NEEDS VIA EMAIL, ONLINE, US POSTAL SERVICE AND OVER THE PHONE. THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MAY, THE COUNTY OFFICES, TO INCLUDE THE ASSESSOR, CLERK & RECORDER, ELECTIONS, MOTOR VEHICLE, TREASURER & PUBLIC TRUSTEE, AND ADMINISTRATION WILL BE MOVING BACK TO THE HISTORIC COURTHOUSE IN OURAY.

ATTENTION: 2020 is not a reassessment year, therefore, only those parcels with a classification and/or physical change to improvements, as of 1/1/2020, will receive a Notice of Valuation (NOV). Notices of Valuation will be mailed May 1, 2020; the entire month of May is every taxpayer's opportunity to protest their parcel's valuation and/or classification regardless of whether or not a NOV was received.
